Daniel Radcliffe isn’t planning on seeing Harry Potter and the Cursed Child for quite some time
Of all the people in the world you’d expect to be eager to see – or have already seen – the new Harry Potter play The Cursed Child, you’d expect it’d be Harry himself. Daniel Radcliffe, in an interview with Stephen Colbert on The Late Show, revealed he didn’t have an inclination to see the new work – for now, at least.
‘I wanna see the show, I’m genuinely intrigued and I’ve heard it’s fantastic,’ Radcliffe says. ‘I just feel like sitting in an audience of what will for the most part of the near future be very enthusiastic Harry Potter fans, might not be a relaxing way to see a show.’
He certainly has a point. He went on to compliment the actor, Jamie Parker, who’s taking up the mantle of the character 19 years after the conclusion of The Deathly Hallows, saying, ‘Jamie Parker’s a wonderful actor and I’m very happy to see him playing me. And maybe a lot of the questions can shift to him now – he can do all the Harry perks.’
