Warner Bros. CEO Jeff Bewkes admits that there’s “room for improvement” in regards to the future of DC films.

During a Q&A with investors, Bewkes spoke of the changes that DC needs to make going forward:

“We do think there’s a little room for improvement. We can do a little bit better on the creative.” he said, according to Variety.

He continued: “The DC Comics characters have a little more lightness in them than maybe what you saw in those movies, so we’re thinking about that.”

However, Bewkes went onto say that they were pleased with the “strategy” and “success” of the recent films:

“The strategy worked. The execution did deliver what we wanted to do.”

“We’re right on course or better. The main thing was to launch DC and reinvigorate it with the fan base. The reboot of Batman with Ben Affleck was a big success”.

Warners’ upcoming slate of DC films is now being overseen by DC Entertainment President Geoff Johns alongside Warner Bros. executive Jon Berg.

And the next of those films to hit theaters is Gal Gadot’s turn as Wonder Woman which is set for a June 2017 release.
