Now that’s a mouthful: the role of Negasonic Teenage Warhead has been cast in the upcoming Deadpool movie. The character, who has telepathic powers – not to mention some handy precognition abilities – will be played by teenage newcomer Brianna Hildebrand. In the comics, Negasonic was mentored by Emma Frost (remember her from X-Men: First Class?), and had her lengthy name bestowed on her by comics writer Grant Morrison, who titled her after the Monster Magnet song of the same name. Hildebrand has only two credits to her name: the TV show Annie Undocumented and the movie Prism. If 20th Century Fox are going for her – a relative unknown – then things are promising indeed.
So far, the cast of confirmed characters is rounding off quite nicely: Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool, Morena Baccarin as Copycat, and now Brianna HIldebrand as (deep breath) Negasonic Teenage Warhead. The film seems to get crazier and crazier, especially with Reynolds constantly pushing for an R-rated theatrical cut of the film, as revealed by his tweet:
“@DPklok051: Is it going to be rated R or PG-13?" I want #Deadpool to be R. Always have. Fighting the good fight still. Lotta yelling today.

Deadpool continues to look like the down-and-dirty, clever suphero movie we’ve all been waiting for. The film is released February 12, 2016.
