Disney pulling movies from Netflix to launch its own streaming service
If you’ve been meaning to watch Zootopia and Moana on Netflix, you might want to stream them while there’s still time.
According to CNBC, Disney is pulling its movies from Netflix. The company plans to launch a streaming service of its own, which is set to debut for US audiences in 2019 and will later be made available for worldwide consumers.
The service will reportedly include upcoming titles like Frozen 2, Toy Story 4, and the live-action Lion King remake. It will also feature exclusive TV shows and movies.
In addition to this new platform, the entertainment juggernaut is launching an ESPN streaming service that’ll feature content from MLB, NHL and MLS.
It’s uncertain when Disney will be removing its content from Netflix, but now is probably a good time to binge as many Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars movies as you can.
