Disney rumoured to be eyeing Chris Pratt for Indiana Jones revival

According to Deadline, Disney are eyeing Chris Pratt to take over the mantle of Indiana Jones – an actor who over the course of a year has transformed from the overweight, bumbling Andy Dwyer in Parks and Recreation, to the all-out action hero in Guardians of the Galaxy and the incoming Jurassic World. This is interesting, as it will be the second time Pratt will be the lead in a reboot / re-imagining of a property kickstarted by Steven Spielberg. When Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull came out in 2008, fans of the whip and wise-cracking action hero bemoaned the addition to the series, so the news that Disney are rumoured to be eyeing Chris Pratt for the role of Indy himself can be taken two ways: either you celebrate that the franchise will be getting somewhat of a fresh makeover, or argue that replacing Harrison Ford – the very actor who made the character – is some form of sacrilege. We’re sure you feel very strongly either way – let us know in the comments section below.
