Doug Liman’s next film The Wall had it’s the first trailer released yesterday, starring Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Kick-Ass, Nocturnal Animals) and WWE wrestler John Cena, The Wall is a story about an American trooper who gets caught in a tense standoff with an unknown sniper in Afghanistan.
A fairly small film for Liman, coming off Edge of Tomorrow and Mr. and Mrs. Smith. The Wall is only 81 minutes long, produced by Amazon Studios and to be distributed by Roadside Productions. Liman was originally scheduled to direct Justice League Dark for DC/Warner Bros. but opted to put that project on hold to make this film.
With a return to small scale, this film has talent in its lead and director moreover the trailer presents us with a psychologic thriller. With not much pressure leaning on this film, it could surprise critics.
The Wall will be released in the U.S, 10th March 2017.
