DreamWorks Animation’s Trolls has added Zooey Deschanel, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Jeffrey Tambor, Christine Baranski, Quvenzhané Wallis and John Cleese to its all-star cast list. They join the likes of Justin Timberlake, Anna Kendrick, Russell Brand, James Corden, Icona Pop and Gwen Stefani. It’s quite a mix of comedic and musically talented performers, with director Mike Mitchell commenting, “Our cast is quite literally bursting with talent. This mix of comedic and musical star-power is every filmmaker’s dream.”
The film is described as a smart, funny and irreverent animated comedy. A colourful, wondrous world populated by hilariously unforgettable characters… the story of the overly optimistic Trolls, with a constant song on their lips, and the comedically pessimistic Bergens, who are only happy when they have trolls in their stomach.
Here’s the first trailer for the movie:
Trolls is set to release this holiday season: on October 21 in the UK and 4 November in the US.
