Elodie Yung to return as Elektra for Marvel’s The Defenders
Marvel and Netflix’s The Defenders, the anticipated superhero team-up, continues to add to its ever-growing cast list with news that Elodie Yung will be returning to the fold as Elektra. (via EW)
Yung, who was an integral part of Daredevil: Season 2, rejoins Charlie Cox (Daredevil/Matt Murdock), Elden Henson (Foggy Nelson), Deborah Ann Woll (Karen Page), Scott Glenn (Stick) and Rosario Dawson (Claire Temple) for the event series.
The show will see Daredevil team up with fellow Netflix show heroes Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), Luke Cage (Mike Colter) and Finn Jones (Danny Rand/Iron Fist) as the battle the series’ big bad, played by Oscar Nominee Sigourney Weaver (Avatar). Jon Bernthal may also return as The Punisher but is unconfirmed at the moment.
Expect more casting news to be announced soon before The Defenders debuts for its eight-episode run in 2017.
