Ethan Hawke is set to reunite with Denzel Washington and director Antoine Fuqua, whom he worked with on Training Day, for a remake of The Magnificent Seven. According to Variety, he is working out a deal to co-star in the film with Washington, Chris Pratt and Haley Bennett.

The original movie was itself an adaptation of Akira Kurosawa’s Seven Samurai, transposing the action to a Mexican village which the seven defend from a group of outlaws.
