After fans started a petition for Quentin Tarantino to direct Deadpool 2, many are now campaigning against the idea.
Over the weekend, it was announced that Deadpool director Tim Miller had left the sequel due to ‘creative differences’ with Ryan Reynolds. And so with a director’s chair now to fill, many fans feel that the man for the job is the legendary Tarantino. A petition was soon formed and now over 6 thousand names are attached:

However, plenty of Tarantino’s supporters are now against the petition and feel it is an insult to the esteemed director:
No, petitioning nerds, Quentin Tarantino isn't going to direct a Deadpool sequel. Sigh.

yeah, it’s frustratingly dumb on a lot of levels, mostly: why would Tarantino care at all about Deadpool?

Even a counter-petition has been formed to oppose the previous one. Although, it may need a few more signatures before it can be taken seriously!
Sign my Deadpool 2 counter-petition. Get Quentin Tarantino to drink a thickshake instead of directing Deadpool 2 https://t.co/qgYmze2Drd

It’s still clear to see though that the Pulp Fiction director would not be such a popular choice for Deadpool after all.
Who would you like to see direct the Marvel superhero’s second outing? The film is set for a March 2018 release.
