Fans petition for Netflix to make a Star Wars series

UPDATE: The petition is now nearing its target of 200,000 signatures.

Star Wars fans have formed a petition to get a new Star Wars series on Netflix and it’s gathering pace.

The campaign demands that Disney and Netflix should come together to make a series based on The Old Republic era. Taking it’s premise from the stories of the Knights of the Republic video-games, as well as the MMORPG Stars Wars: The Old Republic.

The petition reads that they want “the stories from over 3,000 years before the Battle of Yavin be told to both new and old fans of the franchise.”

The petition now has over 100,000 signatures and fans have also shown their desire on Twitter to see the series happen:
