Fast and Furious Spin-Offs in the Works

The Fast and Furious franchise is showing no sign of slowing down. Vin Diesel has revealed to Variety that the series is looking to develop a cinematic universe along the lines of Marvel or Star Wars. This means a few spin-off movies are in order.

“We’ve written out story lines for various characters,” said Diesel. “We’ve been playing with it for a long time. It’s a very rich property and we’re committed to treating it with a lot of class.”

It’s unknown who will be the focus of any potential spin-offs, but the eighth installment in the Fast and Furious series is currently in development with F. Gary Gray of Straight Outta Compton directing.
