Fifty Shades Darker already has more YouTube dislikes than the first film’s trailer

Just recently, the first Fifty Shades Darker trailer arrived online and instantly broke a record, becoming the most viewed trailer in 24 hours. However, 2 weeks on and the sequel already now has more YouTube dislikes than the first film.

Based on the official franchise’s Youtube account, Fifty Shades Darker has over double the dislikes of Fifty Shades of Grey:

Although the views and likes are catching up, the amount of dislikes is vastly more.

Response to the sequel’s trailer has generally been quite positive so not too much can be read into the YouTube dislikes. but it’s still not a great sign for Universal who will be hoping to improve on the last outing’s poor reviews.

The film scored just 25% from critics on Rotten Tomatoes.

Fifty Shades Darker has a new director on board with James Foley at the helm, and we can see how it compares to it’s predecessor when it hits screens on 10th Feb 2017. Check out the trailer in the meantime:
