Finalists Revealed for Young Han Solo

Not too long ago, several rising stars appeared on the shortlist to play a young Han Solo in Phil Lord and Chris Miller’s upcoming Star Wars anthology film. Disney and Lucasfilm have seemingly narrowed that list down to a few notable actors.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Taron Egerton (Kingsman: The Secret Service, Eddie the Eagle), Alden Ehrenreich (Hail, Caesar!), and Jack Reynor (Transformers: Age of Extinction) are in contention to play the scruffy-looking nerf herder.

The final choice won’t necessarily come down to these three actors. There could still be a few other names on the shortlist. However, the role will likely be cast by January when the project begins filming. The Han Solo movie hits theaters on May 25, 2018.
