Over the years, Flight of the Navigator has evolved from an obscure 80s movie to a cult classic. So it shouldn’t come as a surprise that a reboot is in the works.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film won’t be a Disney production like its 1986 predecessor. Rather, it will be moving to Lionsgate with The Henson company producing. Joe Henderson of Lucifer is set to pen the script, although a director hasn’t been hired yet.

As for you should play young David Freeman in this version, we have a feeling one of the Stranger Things or It kids will be getting a phone call soon.
