Former 007 star Pierce Brosnan is not a fan of the current James Bond blockbuster, Spectre.

“I was looking forward to it enormously,” Brosnan told Hitfix. “I thought it was too long. The story was kind of weak — it could have been condensed. It kind of went on too long. It really did. It’s neither fish nor fowl. It’s neither Bond nor Bourne. Am I in a Bond movie? Not in a Bond movie?”

Brosnan did however have kinder words for Daniel Craig…

“Daniel, in the fourth go-round, has ownership of it. He had a nice looseness to him,” said Brosnan. “Just get a tighter story, and he’ll have another classic.”

Brosnan played Bond for seven years, starting with 1995’s GoldenEye and ending with 2002’s Die Another Day.

I couldn’t agree with his comments more. The film is OK but not a classic, and Craig has the potential to deliver that every time if given the right material to work with.
