You wouldn’t think that Wonder Woman would steal the show in a movie called Batman v Superman. Yet, actress Gal Gadot stood out as an MVP as the Amazon warrior princess. Even if you’re concerned about the fate of the DC Extended Universe, the standalone Wonder Woman movie certainly shows promise.

One of the biggest complaints concerning Batman v Superman and Man of Steal is that both films lacked any joy. Judging from these colorful photos, however, this film might be taking a different route. Wonder Woman herself actually looks like a pretty fun heroine while also being classy and kickass. Here’s hoping that the film can get the DC Extended Universe on the right track.
