Next year’s Channing Tatum-starring Gambit movie has unfortunately lost its director, Rupert Wyatt, due to a scheduling issue. He said in a statement, “I was very much looking forward to working with my friend Channing and the team at Fox, but regrettably a push in the start date now conflicts with another project”. The Hollywood Reporter suggests that the conflict was either caused by a script change with the movie, which has inflated the budget and extended the shoot, or the shooting schedule around Mardi Gras. Either way, it means we might have to wait a bit longer to see Tatum star as the titular character if another suitable director isn’t signed on to the project soon.
