George R.R. Martin may not be finishing the next book in his epic fantasy saga any time soon, but Game of Thrones must go on regardless. HBO officially announced at the Television Critics Association press tour that season six of Game of Thrones will premiere on Sunday, April 24th.

Fresh off an Emmy win for Best Drama Series, season five of the hit show left us with numerous unanswered questions. Of course we won’t list them here at the risk of divulging spoilers.

Game of Thrones will have its season premiere the same night as Silicon Valley and Veep, the latter of the two won last year’s Best Comedy Series Emmy.
