A Gears of War movie has officially been confirmed.
The news was announced during the Gears of War 4 launch live stream as Coalition studio head Rod Fergusson revealed that Universal are developing a Gears film.
Fergusson wouldn’t go into more detail though, with currently no writer or director attached and the plot unknown.
But we do know that Ted’s Scott Stuber and Planet of the Apes‘ Dylan Clark are both set to produce the movie for Universal’s Bluegrass Films division.
Gears of War 4 launches on Xbox in just a few days on October 11th, while no release date has been set for the film yet. You can check out yesterday’s live-stream in which the movie announcement was made:
