George Miller says he’ll never make another Mad Max movie

Director George Miller has revealed that he has no plans to shoot another Mad Max film.

The Australian filmmaker helmed the critically-acclaimed 2015 blockbuster Mad Max: Fury Road but has told New York Post that he doesn’t want to be involved with the sequel.

“I won’t make more Mad Max movies. Fury Road… was forever getting completed” he said. “If you finish one in a year, it’s considered a leap of faith. Start, stop, start again… We had to wait 18 months and every return to the U.S. was 27 hours. Those Mad Maxes take forever. I won’t do those anymore.”

There’s no doubt a sequel to Fury Road will still be on the cards but without George Miller to helm, fans of the franchise will question whether it should go ahead.
