The Goonies’ Director Richard Donner confirms sequel
As one of the defining movies of the 1980s, fans of Richard Donner’s The Goonies will be raising their eyebrows at the news of a sequel, confirmed by the original director himself when speaking to TMZ. Stepping on such treasured cinematic territory – with a huge cult following – Donner intends to reunite Josh Brolin, Corey Feldman, Jeff Cohen and Sean Astin for his ambitious project. If all the original cast members were to sign on it would be something of a lift to a film community that seem to have been somewhat concerned about the news.
