Game of Thrones actress Emilia Clarke stars in the upcoming Star Wars: Han Solo movie, with her character’s identity unknown. However, a major detail about her role has now been revealed, and it suggests that she may have a relation to Daisy Ridley’s Rey.
Clarke’s character’s name has been revealed by Michael J. Williams. The Ghostbusters actor let slip her name during an interview with Vanity Fair. This comes after Williams was cut from the film, after not being able to attend reshoots. When asked about his character in the spin-off, he said:
“[He was] a link between Han Solo and Emilia’s character, Kira”
The name Kira was the original name for Rey during the pre-production on The Force Awakens. This has got many fans wondering whether there is a relation between the characters, could she even be Rey’s mom? It’s certainly plausible.
Clarke was first pictured on set with original directors Chris Miller and Phil Lord:

Yes, yes YES!!! I’ve thought this from the beginning … Qi’ra is Rey’s mother and Darth Maul is quite possibly her father (shiver!)
