Harrison Ford hopes to star in Indiana Jones V
Harrison Ford is eager to reprise his role as the fedora-wearing, whip-cracking adventurer Indiana Jones in the series’ long-awaited fifth installment.
“Oh, yeah. Yeah, I’d love to do another Indiana Jones,” Ford said in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly. “A character that has a history and a potential, kind of a rollicking good movie ride for the audience, Steven Spielberg as a director — what’s not to like?”
Ford is doubly famous for his role as Han Solo — Star Wars‘ wisecracking human component in a galaxy dominated by force magic. The actor obviously holds Indy close to his heart, even more than Solo, and why not, Dr. Jones is as much a treasure as the fictional loot he’s always searching for.
Director Steven Spielberg and Lucasfilm are still conceptualizing Indiana Jones V. However, reports say the studio is planning to release the next installment in 2018.
Producer Frank Marshall claims Lucasfilm does not intend on recasting its leading man.
