Here’s our first look at the Suicide Squad cast

David Ayer, director of the upcoming Suicide Squad, is an avid tweeter. As of late, he has been posting pictures from the set (rigging, records – nothing special) on his Twitter feed, but now he’s posted something that should get us all salivating: the first photo of the movie’s cast together. Here’s the image:

This is a special occurence, as this particular movie’s cast is huge: we can see Will Smith, Margot Robbie, Jai Courtney, Joel Kinnaman, Viola Davis and others all together in the same room. The one notable absence here is Jared Leto. Could it be that the actor, known for his method techniques, has been physically transforming himself to play the Joker? And as such, is Ayer keeping him from the spotlight to keep his transformation a secret? All speculation – but it’s very likely that Leto was present, as it was the first script-reading – an important part for the actors and director to attend. Here’s hoping that Ayer keeps us posted (literally) about the film.

Suicide Squad is released August 5, 2016.
