Hugh Jackman says Wolverine 3 is “very different in tone”

Not much has been revealed about the upcoming Wolverine film so far, however Hugh Jackman has now revealed that the third outing for his clawed superhero will be “very different in tone”.

Jackman also promises there will be some big news dropping shortly:

“There’s going to be some stuff coming out in the next week or so. That’s all I’ll say.” he told ET Online.

So maybe a poster? A trailer? Or possibly the film will finally get an official title!

Jackman then went onto explain the film’s new direction:

“We’ve finished shooting. I just saw [director] Jim Mangold today. He’s editing away and finishing that. Basically it’s going to be different. Very different in tone and hopefully to anything we’ve done.”

It’s expected that the film will follow the Old Man Logan storyline, telling the tale of an aged Wolverine. Sir Patrick Stewart is set to return as Professor X, while Richard E. Grant is confirmed to play a villainous mad-scientist.

It’s set to be Jackman’s last outing as Wolverine and after the success of Marvel’s Deadpool, Wolverine 3 is also set to be R-rated (15), hitting screens on March 3, 2017.
