Sir Ian McKellen looks set to lend his voice to Disney’s live-action animated tale Beauty and the Beast.
Variety reports that the legendary British actor will voice the role of Cogsworth, the talking clock.
He joins an impressive cast with Emma Watson as Belle, Dan Stevens as the Beast, Luke Evans as Gaston, Josh Gad as Le Fou, Emma Thompson as Mrs. Potts, Kevin Kline as Belle’s father Maurice and Audra McDonald as Garderobe.
This remake of the Disney classic will begin production later this year with a release date of March 2017. Let’s hope McKellen and Cogsworth can speed up the process…
