The running time of Interstellar, the upcoming science-fiction extravaganza from Christopher Nolan, has been confirmed as 169 minutes. Clocking in at just under three hours, it beats the director’s previously longest movie The Dark Knight Rises, which was 166 minutes in length. It’s no surprise that the Inception director has decided to up the run time for his space-travelling, time-hopping epic, which will see Matthew McConaughey embarking on a quest to the stars to save mankind. With a large cast (featuring Nolan alumni Michael Caine), it’s understandable that Interstellar will take as long it needs to be every bit as good as we hope.
