Iron Man 4 not currently on the cards

Robert Downey Jr. has revealed that there are currently no plans for a fourth instalment in the Iron Man franchise. Speaking with Variety he said “There isn’t one in the pipe… No, there’s no plan for a fourth Iron Man” and went on to quip that he liked the idea “that it would be up to me, like I’m casting director for Marvel” when asked if he would “let” someone else play the role. But he will of course be returning to the role in Marvel’s second Avengers movie, Avengers: Age of Ultron and in a third instalment too.
