Is Kingsman director helming a Superman movie?

In terms of comic book adaptations, director Matthew Vaughn has tackled X-Men, Kick-Ass, and of course Kingsman. Now reports indicate that he may direct the next Superman movie.

Talking to Hey You Guys about Kingsman: The Golden Circle, Vaughn mentioned that he had spoken with DC and Warner Bros. about a movie centered on the iconic superhero. This was previously rumored earlier in 2017, although now we have official word from Vaughn himself.

“I don’t know what I’m going to do next but I have had chats about Superman,” Vaughn said. “I love Superman!”

While it’s unclear if this would be a sequel to Man of Steel or a standalone film, Vaughn seems perfectly tailored to helm a Superman movie. Even if the project never takes flight, though, at least Vaughn has plans for a third Kingsman.
