Zombieland 2 has slowly been getting back on track. A logo for the film was revealed earlier this month. Now the sequel to the 2009 comedy may officially be going into production.
According to Bloody Disgusting, reports indicate that Zombieland 2 is aiming to start shooting in Atlanta this August. Nothing has been confirmed yet, but it is a sign that the project is moving forward.
Ruben Fleischer will be back to direct. It’s unknown if stars Jesse Eisenberg, Emma Stone, Woody Harrelson, or Abigail Breslin will return, however. Zombieland was previously adapted into an Amazon series without any of the original cast members, although it was canceled in 2013.
