James Franco has made a ‘lesbian vampire movie’
James Franco recently wrapped production on a new film based on classic nineties TV movie, Mother, May I Sleep With Danger? But it’s now been reported by Vulture that it’s been re-imagined to tell a lesbian vampire love story.
The last time lesbian vampires hit the big screen was in James Corden’s Lesbian Vampire Killers which was 2009’s biggest flop.
Franco’s film will focus on a dangerous relationship between a teenager and her vampire lover. Tori Spelling, who played the daughter in the original, will star as the mother this time out while Leila George will play the daughter who introduces her parent to new love interest Pearl (Emily Meade) – a woman who Spelling’s character “can’t shake the feeling that something is very wrong.”
James Franco’s Mother, May I Sleep With Danger? will air on the US channel Lifetime on 18 June.
