Jamie Foxx to star in Harmony Korine’s next movie

Spring Breakers was one of the most divisive films of 2013; you either viewed it as high satire, or low pornography. But director Harmony Korine’s next move will be to make The Trap, which will concern two friends who were close during childhood – but in their thirties, one ends up in jail, while the other becomes a highly successful individual. The crime thriller has just hired Jamie Foxx, who joins cast member Benicio Del Toro, to star. Details are currently thin on the ground, but we’re certain that in what Korine has labelled his ‘most ambitious film to date,’ we’ll find plenty of weirdness to accommodate the director’s knack for hallucinogenic visuals – and this time, it’ll be A-list weirdness.
