Jared Harris responds to fans who want him to play young Dumbledore

Jared Harris has addressed the rumors about him playing young Dumbledore in the Fantastic Beasts sequels.

Jared is son of Richard Harris who played Dumbledore in the first two Harry Potter films before sadly passing away. Many fans of the franchise therefore feel Jared would be perfect for the role:

Harris is staying coy on the matter though, as he doesn’t seem too optimistic about getting the part:

“They’re obviously thinking about it. I haven’t heard anything and I don’t expect to. It’s not up to me,” he told Evening Standard.

“Having seen [fan campaigns] before I find that [film bosses] don’t like to have their hands forced. These campaigns almost always go in a different direction.” the Mad Men star added.

Other names in the mix are Tom Hiddleston, Jude Law and Ewan McGregor. Who would you like to see cast as young Dumbledore?
