It’s hard to miss what you never had, but it’s a downright shame to learn that Jena Malone has been cut from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
Malone’s character was one shrouded in mystery, and surrounded by intense speculation: would she be playing Robin? Could she be Barbara Gordon? These rumours will now have to wait even longer to be debunked (or confirmed), when the R-rated Ultimate Edition of the movie is eventually released on Blu-ray. Entertainment Weekly report the editing-out of Malone’s character – and we believe that’s because her role in the film isn’t integral to the main plot, but more than likely will provide narrative tissue to other films in the planned DC cinematic universe in the longer edition. Cutting Malone, in that case, is understandable, as the film currently clocks in at 2 hours, 31 minutes.
