Jennifer Lawrence has been announced as this year’s highest-paid Oscar nominee.
According to Forbes, Lawrence pulled in an estimated $52 million pre-tax between June 2014 and June 2015. Leonardo DiCaprio takes second place with $29 million. While Matt Damon’s in third with $25 million.
Last year, Lawrence was angry after finding out that she was getting paid less than her male co-stars in American Hustle.
“When the Sony hack happened and I found out how much less I was being paid than the lucky people with d–ks, I didn’t get mad at Sony. I got mad at myself,” she told Lena Dunham “I failed as a negotiator because I gave up early. I didn’t want to keep fighting over millions of dollars that, frankly, due to two franchises, I don’t need.”
Lawrence is nominated for her role in David O. Russell’s Joy. The last actress to top Forbes’ ranking of highest-paid actresses and earn an Oscar nod in such close proximity was Sandra Bullock for her turn in Gravity.
