Jessica Chastain in talks for Aaron Sorkin’s directorial debut ‘Molly’s Game’

With the critical – if not commercial – success of Steve Jobs now behind him, screenwriter Aaron Sorkin is getting ready for his next project, Molly’s Game. It will be his debut film as director, and according to TheWrap, Jessica Chastain has been offered the lead role.

Although the acclaimed actor has yet to accept (or decline) the part, we’d love for her to star in Sorkin’s first effort as fully-fledged director. Molly’s Game is based on the memoir by Molly Bloom, which charts her life from pro skier to cocktail waitress to poker game mastermind – before being cut down by the FBI in 2013. It sounds like the kind of time-hopping story we’re certain Sorkin will grapple with ease, and despite there being not even a speculative release date as of yet, we’ll be on the lookout for this particular project.
