J.K. Rowling wrote the script for the upcoming Harry Potter prequel Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and she’s now confirmed that there will be 2 more films in the franchise.
In a tweet to fans on Monday, Rowling wrote that while the London play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child will not be a film, “Fantastic Beasts will be three movies.”
You heard wrong, I'm afraid. #CursedChild is a play. #FantasticBeasts will be 3 movies, though! https://t.co/7tvw4rolcR

We already know that the first film is set in New York City 1926 but some fans are guessing that it may eventually catch up with the present after recently released information on Pottermore revealed that Scamander could end up at wizarding schools around the world. Surely one of those will be Hogwarts?
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them will hit cinemas in November 2016.
