Joe Carnahan may direct Bad Boys 3
It’s been a long time coming, but Bad Boys 3 may end up getting made after all – and a director is currently being courted to make it. Joe Carnahan, who before has directed The A-Team, The Grey and most recently Stretch, is apparently in talks with Sony to direct the second sequel in the hugely popular franchise, both which were helmed by Michael Bay.
Carnahan is already re-writing the film’s screenplay, but is being heavily eyed for the role of director. If he does take on the job, he’ll be directing both Will Smith and Martin Lawrence (presumably) as they return for their respective roles – but he’ll have to wait until Smith has finished filming on Suicide Squad, which is directed by David Ayer.
Expect a deal to be reached soon, and check back to Flickreel for the news as it breaks.
