John Boyega, who plays Finn in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, has been making unannounced appearances at screenings and surprising fans.
He’s been spotted in New York and London cinemas. The actor promised “random theatre pop-ups” in London. “You just might see me,” he announced via his Twitter account.
He’s also posted videos of his surprise visits on his Instagram, Boyega told one New York theater he was “in the area, trying to get some drinks.” His stops were “random,” and he took time to interact with Star Wars fans.
The Star Wars cast and crew have been working hard to publicise the movie and it seems to have paid off as The Force Awakens has made a remarkable $517 million globally so far.
