John Boyega weighs in on whether Finn and Poe will be Star Wars’ first gay couple

While some are eager to see if Finn and Rey will get together in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, others think that Finn (John Boyega) and Poe (Oscar Isaacs) would make a better item. Boyega recently weighed in on whether or not the former stormtrooper and pilot will become the first same-sex couple in the Star Wars movies.

According to Express, Boyega mentioned that Poe “needs to come out already.” This could be implying that Poe may become the first openly gay character in this film franchise.

Boyega additionally mentioned to Metro US, “I think that Oscar is always looking at me with love in his eyes, and I guess that the fans saw it. And then they realized that either he needs to chill or come out.”
