Early reports are saying that Jurassic World, the latest instalment in the wildly popular Jurassic Park series, is tracking to open at a whopping $100 million. With pre-booking open around the world, and a string of trailers and clips that play hard on audience nostalgia, the movie is expected to have a huge opening weekend. Speaking to Variety, Phil Contrino – vice president of boxoffice.com – states that, ‘the trailers are connecting in such a big way.’

The last Jurassic Park movie was Jurassic Park 3 in 2001, but wasn’t that massive of a hit, garnering only $181 million in the US alone throughout its run. Jurassic World marks a huge level-up in terms of box office, then, and if that gigantic $100 million weekend barrier is broken come June 11, it will join both Fast & Furious 7 and Avengers: Age of Ultron in accomplishing that feat. Will you be seeing it?
