Screenwriter Derek Connolly, who previously worked on Jurassic World, has signed up for Guillermo del Toro’s Pacific Rim 2.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, it’s unclear what exactly Connolly is contributing to the project. Drafts for the film have already been written by del Toro, Zak Penn (X-Men: The Last Stand), and Jon Spaihts (Prometheus). Connolly could just be re-writing one page or he might be fleshing out other story ideas. Here’s a suggestion: have a Jaeger fight a T-rex!

Jaeger vs. T-rex, who will win?

Connolly isn’t the only Jurassic World alumnus attached to the project. Producer Thomas Tull is also on board, along with Pacific Rim producer Mary Parent and Godzilla producer Jon Jashni. Steven S. DeKnight of Daredevil: Season One will be taking over directing duties for del Toro.

Although production for Pacific Rim 2 has been delayed, del Toro insists that the project is still moving forward.
