Kate Winslet in frame for Lee Miller Biopic

Kate Winslet has signed on to play American model, artist and war correspondent Elizabeth “Lee” Miller according to Variety.

Miller was known for both her glamour and her mind and was a muse and collaborator to the likes of Pablo Picasso and painter/photographer Man Ray. During World War II, she began a career as a photojournalist, documenting the Blitz and the horrors of the Nazi concentration camps in Germany.

Production outfit Hopscotch Pictures is putting together the project, which is currently on the hunt for a director and writer but will now be buoyed by the arrival of Winslet.
