Keanu Reeves cast in sci-fi Replicas

As of late, Keanu Reeves is having somewhat of a career resurgence. The Matrix star has just featured in John Wick, an throwback action hit that’s currently taking the US by storm, and before that, he helmed last year’s excellent film-versus-digital documentary Side by Side. His latest move is to join the cast of Replicas, which sees him return to world of science-fiction. He’ll play a synthetic biologist who tries to find a way of bringing his family back from the dead, even if that means breaking the immutable laws of science – or even the laws of the police. Having just turned 50 isn’t stopping Reeves from getting on this high-concept sci-fi picture, and with rumours of a third Bill & Ted movie endlessly circling, he’s showing no signs of slowing down. Replicas will be released sometime in 2015.
