Kevin Bacon to Star in Tremors TV Reboot

Tremors, the classic 1990 monster flick, will be getting a TV series reboot. According to Entertainment Weekly, Kevin Bacon will return to star in the project and act as an executive producer. Earlier this year, Bacon stated, “I’d love to do something else with Tremors and revisit the character 25 years later.”

Mixing elements of sci-fi, horror, and comedy, the original film told the story of several people fending off giant, killer worms. It inspired several straight-to-video movies, in addition to a 2003 television adaptation.

While the series had yet to find a network, Universal Cable Productions and Blumhouse Productions will be developing it. Andrew Miller of The Secret Circle is also working on the script. Looks like the Tremors franchise isn’t completely out of ammo yet.
