Killer Croc cast in Suicide Squad

The Suicide Squad cast just keeps getting bigger and bigger. With less than a month before shooting begins on the DC supervillain team-up picture, we’ve learned (via The Wrap) that the role of Killer Croc – a particularly dangerous foe – has been cast. Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje will fill the shoes (or claws?) of the reptilian monstrosity, who’ll be turning up in a movie that is already bursting with evil types.

Akinnuoye-Agbaje has already starred in superhero fare, playing Kurse in rival studio’s Thor: The Dark World, while also popping up in TV show Lost. The character himself is an incredibly volatile, deadly villain, essentially a towering cocktail of human psychopath and amphibious predator. Will Suicide Squad see him in a more normal form, or will practical effects embue him with his Croc exterior? Or will the character be a mo-cap creation? This follows other casting news on the film – will there be any more surprises before shooting begins?
