Kurt Russell Officially Signs on for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2

Kurt Russell has been Director James Gunn’s top choice for a major role in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. It’s now been confirmed that Russell is officially on board for the Marvel sequel. Many are predicting that Russell will be playing Star-Lord’s father, who’s identity was left a mystery in the original film. In addition to Russell, the official press release revealed that Pom Klementieff, Elizabeth Debicki, and Chris Sullivan will be joining the cast.

Gunn also shared this photo on Twitter, revealing that photography on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 has begun.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 hits theaters on May 5, 2017.
