Léa Seydoux offered Gambit’s female lead

According to Hollywood Reporter, French star Léa Seydoux has been offered the part of Belladonna Bourdreaux in Fox’s X-Men spinoff Gambit. Channing Tatum has already been confirmed to play the film’s leading role with Rupert Wyatt on board to direct.

In the comics, Seydoux’s character Bourdreaux is a long time friend and lover of Gambit as they did at one point get married but the movie will likely pick and choose what it decides to use for their story, and whether she’ll gain powers as she has in the comics.

Seydoux is part of the cast for the latest Bond outing, Spectre but we can now also look forward to seeing her strutt her stuff in Gambit which is scheduled for an October 7, 2016 release date.
