Although basketball will always be LeBron James’ game, the NBA All-Star has been getting involved in the movie business as of late. Last year, he played himself in Judd Apatow’s Trainwreck, sharing the screen with Amy Schumer and Bill Hader. James has additionally started a production company called Springhill Entertainment.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Springhill and New Line have gained the rights to make a feature film about a basketball hoax that turned into a viral video. Released by Elite Daily, this hoax video featured Connor Toole, who tricked viewers into believing he had been drafted by the Utah Jazz.
James will act as a producer while Maverick Carter and Shawn Sachs will be executive-producing. Now if only James would officially sign up for Space Jam 2.
